BlackBerry Tablet Rumors: BlackPad Features with BlackBerry OS 6?
Rumors that the manufacturer of BlackBerry, Research In Motion (RIM) will issue a slate or tablet device got hotter lately. Latest news, in November, RIM will launch a tablet, dubbed “BlackPad”.
BlackPad will be equipped with a screen size of the screen which is owned by IPAD with 9.7 inch width, equipped with Wi-Fi, 3G connectivity, and Bluetooth which can synchronize with BlackBerry devices.
According to a report quoted by the Bloomberg site, these tablets, RIM has registered a special site that is predicted BlackPad.com will be used as a new site for BlackPad these tablet devices. The article did not mention what the processor will run at BlackPad, but maybe a tablet will run on BlackBerry OS 6. The tablet will reportedly similar priced iPad ie starting from 499 U.S. dollar with a version of Wi-Fi and memory 16.
The report is slightly different from the rumors at the beginning of last month which said that the tablets made by RIM to be launched with a smaller size than the iPad is 7 inches. Ashok Kumar & an analysis of the Rodman Renshaw also said that the tablets made by RIM will come out with a 1 GHz processor, has dual cameras, and can be used for video chat.
The rumors are getting much talked about news conference ahead of the BlackBerry that will probably take place next week. It is expected that there will be things that are shocking in the event such as a touchscreen device which will be combined with a QWERTY in it, and mention about updating the OS to use BlackBerry OS 6.
RIM still has not confirmed these rumors. If the tablet is really going to happen, the ability of this tablet that can connect between the BlackBerry and BlackPad using 3G then it will be the main selling points. We look forward to it.
