iPad Officially Launched

It has been a long wait is over. Those who want to have a tablet computer made by Apple, iPad, starting today can be bought at various stores in the United States.  Long queues seen outside Apple Stores in California.

The buyers include the co-founder Steve Wozniak Apple into line since Friday night.

Queue of buyers was also seen in front of Apple Stores in New York and Chicago.

Leading position in the queue outside the Apple Store in New York occupied Greg Packer.

“I want to have iPad because these devices are similar to mini laptop,” Packer said in a video clip on video sharing site YouTube.

The AFP news agency reported on Friday afternoon that there are 15 prospective buyers lined up outside Apple Stores in New York.

Among them were three women from three generations.

A mother named Jeanney Mulley iPad planned to buy two for himself and one for his daughter, Giovanna, aged 11 years.

Giovanna’s grandmother also bought one iPad.

But not as much zest iPad buyers with iPhone enthusiasts, when the smart phone was launched in 2007.

The most expensive version may be purchased for U.S. $ 499 while the most expensive U.S. $ 829.

iPad first generation that can be purchased in the U.S. consumer can only access the internet via Wi-Fi.

The new 3G version will be launched at the end of the month, coinciding with the launch iPad for a number of countries outside the United States.

Director Steve Jobs when Apple announced last January called the iPad as a tool to bridge the needs between smart phones and laptops.

Jobs referred to it as a revolutionary product at an affordable price.
