Queen Rania of Jordan on Monday condemned Israel’s deadly attacks against humanitarian aid ships to Gaza last week, and warned that the hard-line policies against Palestinians can rid the region’s moderate stance.

Writing in The Independent newspaper, she said Israel’s blockade of Gaza has been “reducing the new functionality, an open prison”, adding: “Every day the blockade continues to the next day on the remnants of our humanity is under siege.”
