How to Partition External Hard Disk on Mac OS X with Disk Utility Application

The following tutorial will show you how to partition the Hard Disk External use the default application for Mac OS X Disk Utility which you can find in the folder / Applications / Utilities.

Attention! Make sure you have backup the contents of your Hard Disk – HD if it contains critical data.

Run Disk Utility. And in the left column will appear a series of HD and its partitions that exist on your system. Pick your External HD by clicking its icon and select Partitions menu listed at the top.

Then, select Hard Disk partition scheme you want on the choice of the Volume Scheme. In this example, we will partition the HD into two partitions.

Your HD will be partitioned into two pieces. To change the size of each partition, you can move up / down two or more of partition columns.

For you who also works in the Windows environment and want one partition to be used in Windows, then select MS-DOS option from the Format options.

Then, press the Options button. And will perform three (3) choices of the partition to your HD. For those of you who use Mac-Intel, select GUID Partition Table. You are using a Mac-PowerPC, please select the Apple Partition Map. While you want HD can be used in Windows, choose Master Boot Record. [Read more...]

Admittedly, the quality of MacBook and MacBook Pro battery is currently lower than the iBook and PowerBook battery. I think we need to fix the way we treat and use the Apple notebook batteries. Apple notebook battery is using a Lithium-Ion battery which is claimed to produce maximum performance even with minimal care. This time the MWI collect tips for longer battery life and durable. Battery life is very influential of the applications we use. For example, running Adobe Photoshop to work on A4-sized image files will drain the battery faster than just running Safari for browsing activities.

Apple also claims every battery is able to work optimally until it reached 300 cycles. MWI encountered several cases, often the owner complained about the battery is drop on the notebook when its not reached 100 cycles. And there also remains strong despite his cycle exceeds 300. AutoCAD for Mac OS: Free AutoCAD to iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch – Autodesk

AutoCad for MacAutoCAD WS will soon be available at Apple App Store.

During 18 years, Autodesk no longer produces AutoCAD software design platform that supports Macintosh computer (Mac) by Apple. In the near future, not only back support Mac, AutoCAD also be available on the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch.

In fact, make the user iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch both use the Cisco IOS operating systems, AutoCAD is available for free or free. With the free version of AutoCAD WS, users can open, edit, and share AutoCAD files from the mobile device.

While for the version of Mac OS X, the latest AutoCAD remain commercially viable with a normal price for a software version of Windows. Price tag of 3995 dollars for use without the technical support services or 4445 with technical support. [Read more...]

Apple launched the iPod Shuffle, iPod Nano, and iPod Touch + iOS 4.1. New Platform.

Again, Apple rocked the market, overtaking its rivals by launching a new product aimed at the consumer market. After iPad and iPhone4 a surprising level of sales markets, this time poured the Apple iPod range of new models.

Not just one model, but at the same time three new iPod models are introduced. Each new version for the iPod Shuffle, iPod Nano, and iPod Touch. Unfortunately, the new version of the legendary iPod Classic does not exist.

“This year we are very wild. We issued a new iPod this year for all types of iPod. Change the biggest product line we’ve ever done,” said CEO Steve Jobs during the launch in San Francisco, USA, Wednesday (01/09/2010) local time.
